Celebrating America's Semiquincentennial!

 

Join us as we commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence with a special concert event in Washington, Iowa—part of a series of celebrations leading up to Independence Day, July 4, 2026.

Helping mark this historic milestone, Iowa Brass will present a dynamic performance in two parts:

​

• The first half will be devoted to Americana and patriotic music, featuring works by American composers.
   

• The second half will showcase contemporary brass ensemble favorites, including Broadway hits, swing, New Orleans jazz, and selections from their national competition repertoire.
   

Iowa Brass is a unique, amateur brass band dedicated to the rich tradition of British-style brass band music. Founded in 1985, they remain the only ensemble of their kind in Iowa and have performed for enthusiastic audiences throughout the Midwest.
